The Creator's
Team
The Creator looked around his
team and found an empty place. He then lookd down upon the earth, and saw
your tired face.
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest. The creator's team must be powerful he always
takes the best. He knew your were suffering, he knew that you were in
pain, he knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting
rough and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids and
whispered, "Peace be thine"
It broke our hearts to lose
you but you didn't go alone for part of us went with you the day the Creator
called you home.

Ed was a friend, a
brother, a son, and a warrior to the Wildcat Football Program. Rest in
Peace Ed, we love you!
"Stripped Away"
A mistake in the school
districts grades enabled a great football player to play the sport he loves. As
I sat there on the sidelines with this football player, me in my gear and him
with not even a jersey, I still could not compete with the love that he had for
his team.Even though he could not play, he still always cheered for the sport
that he could not play. Although this player was not dealt very good cards, he
still never gave up on football. He hit the books and out worked any student in
the school on his grades: it showed he finished his first nine weeks of
eniligibility with all A's. He always bragged about how he was going to be able
to play in his first game of the year. We all understood, he had worked hard and
he deserved to play. His first game of the year was against Basic where we
really need someone to step up and give us some momentum. He was the man! He
finished the game with almost half a dozen solo tackles, two interceptions and
two huge hits. We won that game, so it gave him another chance to play. We also
played our next game where he also did good, and we won giving him another game
to play. Coach always told us that this player would have a good game, " He
is Hungry" when you are stripped of what you love to do, all you want is
another chance to play. This Guy got his chance and he took advantage of it. He
got to have fun again. He only got to play three games not knowing that his
third would be his last. Almost six minutes before the game was over, a
collision occured and our player rose in triumph. As he looked back to see
the player he had struck get up slowly he started to feel dizzy. As the player
came off the field we all cheered for him and patted him up. The stands and the
coaches and especially the players were not ready for what would happen next.....
Edward Gomez RIP 11/23/03
Our season is dedicated to to Ed Gomez's family and friends. But most of
all to Ed who hung with us even when he didn't have to, who cheered when no one
else was, and who befriended anyone no matter the circumstances. He was a great
friend, brother, and most of all a great football player.

The
One We Lost
As
nights may pass
And
days go by,
We
sit and ponder
The
question of WHY?
Why
did you leave us?
What
was going through your mind?
These
are the questions
To
which answers we hope to find.
Now
that you’re gone
It
won’t be the same.
No
graduation or prom
Or
even the last regional game.
Again
we ask WHY?
And
again and again.
How
did it happen?
And
what could’ve been?
Without
any answers
I
guess we’ll never know.
Remember
this one thing my friend,
Our
love for you will always show.
You
will be remembered
And
missed of by lots,
You
will remain in our hearts
Just
as well in our thoughts
You
left us that day
Without
any good-bye
Tears
began to flow
As
we all started to cry.
Good-bye
to a friend
Who
we recently lost
Good-bye
to a friend
Who
wanted to do everything possible no matter what the cost?
