Nevada 4A State Championship: Palo Verde Panthers
The Wildcats took on the Panthers for the first ever South vs South State Championship at the Sam Boyd Silver Bowl. In front of 5000 fans, a record crowd, the Wildcats fell to the Palo Verde Panthers 21-7. This is the second year in a row the Wildcats finished the season as State Runners up. Congratulations to all the Wildcat Seniors for a great season finishing at 12-3.
State Semi-Finals: Reed Raiders
The Wildcats traveled north to take on the Reed Raiders in the State Semi-Final game. In a snow covered field, the Wildcats beat the Raiders 21-14 to advance to the State Championship on December 4th at the Sam Boyd Silver Bowl. Sunrise Championship: Valley High School
Playing in their fifth straight Sunrise Championship, the Wildcats took control early and finished off the Valley Vikings to win the Sunrise Championship by the score of 49-8. With the win, the Wildcats advance to the State Championship Semi-finals to play Reed High School on Saturday, November 27. The Wildcats will travel to Reed High School for the 1:00 game. Second Round Playoffs - Silverado High School:
In a much anticipated match up, the Wildcats took on the vastly improved Silverado Skyhawks (9-2) squad. The Wildcats took the opening kickoff for a touch down and held the lead the remainder of the game with a 48-20 win. Wildcats advance to the Sunrise Region Championship next Friday night against the Valley Vikings. Game time will be 7:00 pm at Las Vegas High School. First Round Playoffs - Green Valley High School:
The Wildcats opened the 2004 playoffs against the Green Valley Gators, the fourth seed from the Southeast Region. The Wildcats scored on their opening drive and controlled the game on both sides of the ball to win 35-7. The Wildcats will host the Silverado Skyhawks this Friday night (Nov 12) at 7:00 PM. Game 10: Valley High School:
The Wildcats entered the Valley game needing a win by more than 12 points to win the Northeast Division and have home field advantage through the playoffs. The Wildcats came out and played a tough Valley squad and came away with a 21-3 victory and the Northeast Division Champs. More information from the Las Vegas Review Journal
Congratulations to the Wildcat Freshmen and Junior Varsity teams that wrapped up their regular season with wins against Valley High School's lower programs. The Wildcat Freshmen finished the year at 8-1 and the Junior Varsity finished the year at 9-0, Way to Go Cats!
Game 9: Desert Pines High School:
The Wildcats won on the road versus a scrappy Desert Pines team. Wildcats won 36-28, raising their record to 7-2. The Wildcats will finish their regular season at home versus the Valley Vikings on Thursday Night. More information on the game at the Las Vegas Review Journal
Game 8: Rancho High School
The Wildcats kept the bone home for the 9th straight year with a 49-14 win on Saturday. With the win, the Wildcats now have the longest winning streak in the Bone Game history. Game 7: Eldorado High School
The Wildcats lost at tough game at home in front of a sold out Homecoming crowd to the Eldorado High School Sundevils 28-21. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 5-2 for the season. Wildcats take on Rancho High School in the battle of the bone next Saturday at Canyon Springs High School. Game time is 12:00 noon. Complete game recap at the LVRJ.
Game 6: Chaparral High School
The Wildcats traveled to Chaparral High School Cowboy Corral for their sixth game of the season. The Wildcats scored early on turnovers by the Cowboys. The score was 47 - 0 at half. The Wildcats went on to win 47-18 to improve their overall record to 5-1. More information from the Review Journal
Game 5: Cheyenne High School
The Wildcats were beaten last night on their home field by the Cheyenne Desert Shields. In a game of costly turnovers which led to 3 Cheyenne scores, the Wildcats lost 27-6. The Wildcats go into Northeast League play against Chaparral this upcoming Friday night with a 4-1 Record. More on the game from the Review Journal
Game 4: Riverside Poly High School.
The Wildcats traveled to Riverside California to take on Riverside Poly. The game was played at Martin Luther King High School. In a tough fought battle with the Bears of Poly, the Wildcats prevailed 39-0. Eric Jordan ran for 130 yards and 4 touchdowns. With this win, the Wildcats improved their record to 4-0. Game 3: Bonanza High School
The Wildcats took and early lead with a 74 yard touchdown run by Eric Jordan on their second offensive play and never let up on the Bengals. The Wildcats won 49-20 and improved their record to 3-0. Click here for the complete story by the Las Vegas Review Journal
Game 2: Snow Canyon HS (St. George, Utah)
The Wildcats took on a very tough Snow Canyon team last night. In a tight, hard hitting contest the Wildcats held a 7-6 lead going into the 4th quarter. Game 1: Pine View HS (St. George, Utah)
The Wildcats defeated the Pine View (UT) Panthers last night 34-28. The Wildcats came out strong against Pine View squad that is one of the top 3A football teams in Utah. Saturday, August 21: The Wildcats will Scrimmage Palo Verde High School on all levels. Freshmen and Junior Varsity will scrimmage at Palo Verde High School at 10:00 am. The Wildcat Varsity will scrimmage at home at 7:00 pm. Our concession stand will be open selling the 2004 Wildcat Gear.
